Google recently landed a big fish when the city of Los Angeles chose Google Apps for its e-mail and Internet services. While it still has a ways to go to catch Microsoft Office, more businesses are using Google Docs.
The company is even catering to the enterprise mobile market and has made plans to provide business users support within its Android operating system. Google will continue to target the enterprise with its decision to extend its Postini security and management capabilities across the entirety of Google Apps Premier. Such a move could serve to allay the Web application fears of CIOs and IT managers and land Google more deals like the one it reached with LA, says PC World.
Vadivel has done it again; he has walked out of another film after the producers did a photo shoot with him and then avoided him! Vadivel was signed by producer and director Sakthi Chidambaram for his Sathyaraj––Sundar C masala entertainer, Guru Sishyan. The comedian states that he was invited for the photo shoot of the film, but wasn’t called even for a day’s shoot after that. Says Vadivel, “After making me do the photo shoot with other actors for the film, they didn’t bother to ask me for my dates! Now, I have come to know that they have almost completed the film and so I decided to walk out of the project and also inform people concerned that I’m not a part of the film.” Sources close to the actor say that the producer of the film was not willing to pay him his market rate, and wanted a discount. Pakistani singer Atif Aslam has revealed that he has acting offers from Bollywood and is open to them. “Artistes don’t belong to any nation,” he says, “I’d like to act in a Bollywood film. It’s not my forte, but I want to give it a try.” “I have various offers from Bollywood but nothing has been finalised. I am reading scripts at the moment. Once something is finalised, I will make an official announcement,” adds Atif, who has sung many songs for Bollywood movies.
Genelia D’ Souza is all set to thrill her Tamil fans again. If sources are to be believed, the actress is to star opposite Dhanush in a Tamil film that will be a remake of the Telugu super hit Ready. Genelia had played the lead role in Ready as well. The film is to be directed by Jawahar, who is also directing Kutty, Dhanush’s next film. Jawahar had earlier directed the hit Yaaradi Nee Mohini, which also had Dhanush playing the lead. The Ready remake is special to Jawahar, as it will earn him the unique distinction of being a director who has managed to direct three consecutive movies with the same hero playing the lead.
